The popularity of wood stove fans has increased since the first Ecofan – and original wood stove fan - was released over 25 years ago. Since then, stove technology has changed, and contemporary stoves are becoming more commonplace. To match the wider operating range of temperatures and sleek aesthetic appeal of modern stoves, Ecofan has developed the AirDeco I and AirDeco II wood stove fans.

Designed by Caframo in Ontario, Canada, AirDeco is a product of years of research and innovation by Caframo engineers. By increasing energy distribution to the fan’s motor from the thermal electric generator, the Caframo team has succeeded in developing a product with superior heating performance and airflow. Laboratory testing results have recorded airflow levels up to 160 CFM from the AirDeco I and up 190 CFM from the AirDeco II.

AirDeco blades are designed specifically to perform optimally alongside the highest grade thermal sensitive parts of these models. Years ago, Ecofan moved exclusively to a two-blade design as our testing team determined that two blades result in less drag on the motor for better performance and a longer life. Like all Ecofans, the AirDeco blades are CE compliant and feature a rounded edge for extra safety.
